Another two for Ruth

It is officially Fall. I know this because around 1am I re-arranged the furniture in the living room & foyer. A sure sign of the changing seasons here at the Tryst Inn.

In other news, I've been looking for my glucometer like a crazy person for the last two days and last night I finally found it. Behind the sofa and accompanied by a very guilty looking Flash.

Yes, my dog ate it.

An appointment for Monday has been made for the new slim-line ones, the Diabetes Coordinator has asked for the remains for her Wall of destroyed glucometers as a warning to others. I'm thrilled at the news I'm getting a new one, mine was about 5 years old and HUGE.

Flash, however, is still grounded.

We had a laptop at NMCI that someone had put an old CRT-style monitor on. As you can imagine, it was in horrifying condition - cracked glass, innards everywhere, external case cracked, etc.
