Duck Trading

Sold my first duck and he's left to meet his new flockmates. Sadly, their drake didn't survive the duckling stage (they suspect a hawk) so they've been looking for a big sexy guy for their gals. And Phil is sexy, as Swedish drakes go with gorgeous color and a massive crest. I'm sure he'll make beautifully crested ducklings for years to come. And then a tasty dinner.
I put the two female Magpies up for sale via Craigslist. I'll likely put something up on the Cenex board tomorrow when I pick up more feed. I've been handing out good will packs of three duck eggs to neighbors in hopes of making them future customers. Evil.
Right now, the flock stands at twelve: ten ducks (females) and two drakes.
I spent a few hours out there today, cleaning water bins then refilling them, spreading fresh hay around their pen, algae treating the pond and spoiling the bunnies a little with alfalfa pellet.
