Guaranteed to make you hungry

Less than a week's worth of eggs, the dark brown is from our new chickens:

In order, left to right, small egg (likely a Khaki Campbell), one of our home flock Swedes or Rouen egg, a truly large new Swedish egg and a chicken egg:

A great idea I saw in one of my cookbooks once was to mark the eggs in pencil with the date they were gathered.
