Tuesday Farm Report

trystinnLet's not pretend you're looking at this for any reason other than furbaby picy goodness, so without any more delay here's our new gal:
We haven't agreed on a name for her, though we're fairly sure she's a California Rex and a big one at that. I'm somewhat partial to Freckles, given those three cute little Orion's belt freckles on her nose. Kevin was thinking Spot. *eye roll* What say you, Flist? I've got to keep her quarantined for at least a week, she's massively chubby as she's been gorging on fresh grasses for who knows how long. Update: We've also got a vote for Orion, the Huntress.
Today was crazy busy but not much really got done. I've organized all three sheds (don't even get me started on that rant), Kevin and I finished fencing the stall in the West Wing of Bunhalla where Spot/Freckles/yadda-yadda is now living, much to her dismay. MarkliAnn came over with her dog to test his predatory drive towards farm critters (he hasn't any) and to help me put up additional deer fencing across the front picket fencing on the west side of the property. We promptly ran out before finishing, so I'll have to head out and buy more tomorrow. Heather gave poor Nod and Winken a good brushing out. They really need more attention, so hopefully this week we can bribe her with quiche to come again and work on their coats. There's always quiche!
