Woooweee!

We've survived the 51 mph winds last night with only a few branches down. Exciting stuff. I did have to go out and secure the shed doors so they weren't ripped from their hinges, fortunately each shed backs up to the wind which I'm sure helped tremendously.

I know the wind was outrageous and we had thunder and lightening, I wanted to go check on the horses but fear of getting zapped stopped me, well that and Tom saying go back to bed.

We're expecting another boomer here tonight, I've got to make sure we're set - Gods' knows Josh won't think of it.

Eeek, be careful!!! There was a girl this year who went out to bring horses in/check on them during a storm, and she and the two horses she was leading got struck, both horses died and she was in severe condition for a week or so :(

Just keep tonight's storm down your way! We've had enough damage up here. Yesterday morning one of the Bellingham schools had their roof collapse, and I've had to bring the store signs in because of it. No signs = no business
My parent's place has lost several good sized branches from their cherry tree. They're big enough, and the tree is close enough to the house, that my brother's talking about just taking the tree down as soon as it dries up enough to be safe. Trimming the branches back wasn't enough.
