Moving and grooving, molting and molding
Lovely bunch of hobby farm projects coming around.
First off, the rabbit hay is finito - mold everywhere. So it will be used to line the chicken run. Kevin & Josh are on notice that they will be picking up hay bales on Saturday from Erin, the Hay Lady.
Secondly, the chicken coop & run are a complete mudhole! :O I'm such a bad cheekin mommy. We'll be moving the chicken run & coop up to the higher midline of our property this weekend.
Thirdly, MarkliAnn is designing a chicken coop inside the back of the garden shed. Once that's done, we'll connect the run to it via a sliding chicken door. She's got a line on freebies - linoleum, wood, etc. Hopefully, lots more to come on this.
That last one is a good thing because I've made arrangements to get more cheekins! We've reserved day old Black Copper Marans and Barnevelders which hopefully will be hatching on Thanksgiving or thereabouts.
