The Command Children's Christmas Party

To no one's surprise, I received an email today inviting us to bring our children to the command's Children's Christmas Party. I immediately sent a polite email asking when the Children's Hannukah and Yules parties will be held.

*sigh*

Ironically, on Veteran's Day, one more example of how the non-Christian service members and their families are ignored.

Update: Still no response, for those wondering. I've spoke to Josh who is going to speak with the Chaplain.

Folks at my new gig are throwing vitriol at the concept of having a 'holiday party' feeling like the new mgmt has taken the Christ out of Xmas and it's all so horrible. Now what that has to do with their scheduled ornament exchange or cookie exchange, I have NO freaking idea ... but I'm picking my battles and keeping my mouth shut on that one. Nope, in a land where it's all Catholic, I just need to sit back and shut up. Equal rights and equal respect? Maybe not in my lifetime.
