My fridge has never been so tidy! I just grab everything out of it, toss it in a bucket then walk over to Spike's bowl and let him have it. He's now in love with yet another bucket.

We're still dealing with periodic bouts of piggy naughtiness, including re-arranging furniture on the back porch. That and a fierce protectiveness of the chickens, especially the pullets. Spike does not like the dogs anywhere near the chicken pen or the pullets, themselves. Part of this is no doubt due to his use of the roof overhang as a rain and sun break, but likely also due to his sharing of the chicken scratch! I've gone outside several times in the last week to find him stretched out in front of the coop door, on duty.

We're still having periodic dust ups between Spike and the dogs. Thankfully, these have not been serious. Mostly posturing and noise. Gracie is a tough gal and won't put up with something ignoring her, especially when she tries to herd Spike away from something. Flash & Doodle avoid Spike whenever possible, they've learned to respect the pig! I've left a message at the vet's office to call me with the going rate to neuter a potbelly pig. I'm told this will calm him down quite a bit (doesn't it always?)!

A very nice lady called yesterday from Deer Lagoon Grange, someone I've not yet had the pleasure to meet. She'd been told that not only do I sell duck eggs, but that I'd recently rescued a potbelly pig and had questions. So she called to buy eggs and see if she could help in any way. She's coming by today to see if she can age the pig, check for testicles, etc. and buy a dozen duck eggs. Wow.

I'm incredibly impressed with the Grangers over all, more so when they take it upon themselves to be good neighbors. I particularly liked the way she started the call with laughter: "The Master down here mentioned you'd appreciate a call from a pigkeeper so I'm calling to be appreciated." That gal is my kind of funny.

I think you need a "Respect the Pig" icon for your tales of Spike.

I do, unfortunately I cannot design a graphic to save my life! So I'll go googling!

If you find me a picture you'd like used, I can add text etc for you :) I think you also need a "That'll do pig, that'll do" one :p

Would any of the pics I've posted of Spike work? If not, I have them posted to my Photobucket account, too.

Thank you, Lore!

They should work. I was meaning more if you had one in particular in mind :) But I see a couple that will work well, I shall post links when I get them done :D

*Sigh*

You are so utterly bizarre, and I love you for that.

They're posted as a journal entry because Photobucket was being dumb.
