I managed to go outside tonight and hang out a bit with Josh while he took care of the critters. Opal, the big Blue Cochin hopped by and it struck me again how huge this one is compared to the Black and Buffs. I wandered over to the others and realized something, the Blue Cochin's comb and wattles are about 400% larger than the others. Oh shit.

What this means, for the non-farmers out there - Opal is most likely a young cockerel (male).

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow, wind was blowing too hard tonight.
