This morning, Brother Bob (Granger) came by to drop off the animal carrier we'd loaned him when he purchased chickens from us. Each time he comes to return it, he ends up leaving with more chickens and so he needs to come return it, again. Sounds familiar, eh? Today he let me know that the rooster he was supposed to be getting ended up going to another farm, so he's on the lookout and wanted one from me if possible. We've got Big Blue, whom we're not willing to re-home just yet as he's a quiet roo and a possible Ameraucana rooster. We'll give the Ameraucana a few more weeks to develop to see if we're correct and if so, it will go home with Bob.
One of the ESL teachers we met Wednesday is a lovely Jewish Navy wife from Virginia. She dropped in unexpectedly, as she was on Freecycle last Monday looking for magazines for a project for the Chinese students. I'd emailed her that we had a ton of magazines but she hadn't come to pick up, so Josh took most of them to the recycling center. So Josh and I hurriedly went through all our magazine baskets and found great ones to give her. She invited us to services at the Chaplain Center on base - every third Friday. Seems there's a small group that is slowly asking around for additional members. Quite my style, I approve.
