Ow!

Back was considerably worse today so I gave up and tried to get an appointment with my doctor, who is not available until late next week. *eye roll* I cannot sit upright at all, I can do fully prone or upper body slightly raised. I can barely handle the backyard, uneven ground is a nightmare so no dogpark, no hanging out throwing the ball, etc. This, of course, drives the Bassets crazy and they've been trying to apply Basset Lick Therapy to make mommy better.

Around noon (when I knew she was up and around) I had Tiger drive me to the ER to get things checked out. Apparently, I've got a very specific injury that causes spasms that band around my waist. So Flexerall, heat pad, Arnica gel a back massager are in my weekend plans. This will either get better or I'll go back.

Pizza and movie night is still doable. On the schedule: Robin Hood, The Reader and Taking Lives. We'll see how long I can last. Flexerall has made me a little buzzed, but otherwise I'm fine. Kevin is coming over and will take care of the critters.

All gratitude for the well wishes. *smooches*

basset therapy is good.......

i had good luck with muscle relaxants and the "hot salted towel" theory.. where you get a full size bath towel and soak it in hot salt water and apply to back.
shrug
its heat, and ssalt helps most stuff.

other than that i can only wish you luck. hope you feel better soon
