Snow Day on the Island
Nov. 22nd, 2010 01:53 pmThe snow finally arrived, dumping several inches on the Island. Given the Mazda5 is one of the vehicles you want to have in this sort of weather and we're both from New England and know how to drive in this, we decided to head down to Coupeville and stock up before things got too bad. Our front yard, looking toward the street:

Looking out over the fog-covered Penn Cove towards Coupeville:

Low tide at the Cove:

One of my favorite of the scenic views, this little shack on the dock:

Driving south, down the Island, towards Coupeville:

Back at the house, looking towards Bunhalla, standing on the front porch (much better view now that Duckgard has been moved):

Standing in front of the Blue Shed Coop, looking towards the Orchard Gate:

Beggar ducks:

Looking out the kitchen window at napping ducks, who wisely chose a spot out of the wind and snow:

Hubby, me and the dogs are now curled up with chicken chili and coffee. Cozy!
