This is now the second weekend where I've fallen asleep over at Kevin's (watching football this time) on his sofa, then woke up feverish. Poor hubby took me home, put me to bed and was shocked that I slept the entire night and had to be roused to get up for work this morning at around 11am.

Did I mention I'm an insomniac? Sleeping without medication is nearly impossible for me to begin with. Sleeping twelve hours a night after a four hour nap that day is HIGHLY unlike me. Alien possession levels of unlike me.

Not sure what to do about this. Yes, I'm a tad congested, but not feeling 'sick' per se. Probably time to ask the doctor what's going on. Not quite sure what to tell her - "I'm sleeping too much. Yes, yes, I know I take medication to help me sleep, but I haven't as I've been without it for about a month now and I'm sleeping near-constantly. So you see, I'm alarmed about that".

Maybe have the doc check your Thyroid?

Thyroid makes a hell of a lot more sense than Washington Sleeping Sickness. :)

Glad you're seeing the doc. Besides thyroid, depression also has 'sleeping a lot' as a symptom. Or sleeping erratically, as the time stamp on this will show a little after 3a and I'm already up and dressed for work. (I hate on-call.) Envying you the sleep ... :D

If you have your thyroid checked, please be aware that the tests are notoriously inaccurate and that symptoms are still the best indicator once numbers are in hand.

That is a lot of sleep. Most bizarre. I'll look for reports of whirling lights in the sky over Whidby Island.
