*snort*

You know you live in the Seattle area when your High Priest invites you to a Superbowl party at his house.

GO STEELERS!!!

*ahem*

I mean good luck.

I couldn't care less, honestly.

*snore*

I enjoy it from a social angle, but that's about it. I enjoy the football parties for the food and company, not so much the football.

I'll probably go just to hang out with the HPs (the HP's wife) and the other gals in the coven.

Just out of curiosity - what's your thoughts on BOTA?

[identity profile] fraterachdae.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
I have mixed feelings. I like a lot of Paul Foster Case's thoughts on the relationship between Tarot and Kabbalah. As far as organizations go, they're not at the top of my list. I'm not at all interested in groups which try to deny that there's anything but 'bright blessings' and fun and good in the universe.

[identity profile] tryst-inn.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
We're so rural its hard to get any kind of CM training (GD,OTO, etc.), outside of what we're already doing in BTW, so I'm looking into correspondence training groups as a lark.

So did you complete the BOTA stuff?

[identity profile] fraterachdae.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
I never joined the BOTA. I couldn't bring myself to join them after reading their literature. Besides which, I'm not really interested in any magical organizations I've encountered. The Golden Dawn and the OTO aren't serious enough for me, the A.'.A.'. is a crock of shit, the OTA are arrogant elitists, etc.

I myself prefer self-training. While I wish I could have apprenticed under one of my favorite authors (who is now dead), I don't think it's at all necessary, and I certainly prefer one-on-one apprenticeships to orders and classes. If I ever come to a point where I'm able to teach, I will do one-on-one exclusively.

Sheeeee-it. I had to switch the date of our Brighid Feast Ritual because all the men in our coven said they weren't coming! LOL.

Sigh.

I've gotta go with Seattle, and my [livejournal.com profile] trystn is a Steelers fan.

This should be fun.

Don't feel alone. We've juggled our schedules as well. And the game is going to be an 'official' event.

As much as we *do* try to plan group social thingies on a reasonably regular basis, it still amazes me to have one for football!!

[identity profile] tryst-inn.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL - Oh no, you too!

We're holding Imbolc on the 29th, emphimeris kept the men from having to choose between a Sabbat and their precious game, thankfully.

LOL! As a displaced Seattleite I think it sounds perfectly reasonable ;) Of course, my schedule for Sundays isn't nearly so thought provoking. All I need to work around so I can watch "my boys" in the Superbowl is a D&D game :D
