We follow the Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki Village Craft tradition of creating the Tallow Maid - a beautiful creation of ribbons and candles, upon which we tied our wishes and prayers for the coming year. One of the things I adore about Imbolc is the aspect of spring cleaning - purification of the house, blessings to those who live within, protection for all.

Joyous Imbolc, during this time of renewal and a prosperous, healthy and safe year for 2006.

The Tallow Maid is constructed of a Y-shaped natural branch of wood, with holes drilled in for candles. Its decorated with ribbons and rolled written wishes. Once the Maid has been blessed and charged, its thrown into the fire with song and chant to carry our wishes into the Ether.

Or were you asking about Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki's Village Craft? I'm not very well versed on it, but she and the other Village Elders have managed to keep the pagan traditions of their village continuing in Europe and teach them around the world.

Wonderful stuff.
