Yesterday we lost power from roughly noon to 1 am this morning, for those keeping score I think its PSE 7: Homeowners: 0. There's about an inch of snow sticking around at the moment, with more thunder & snow expected tonight and tomorrow. Gotta admit the cedars and rowan look great under a thin bit of snow. I'm also happy to report that unlike my beautiful glass witch ball (which was destroyed two storms back) my Yule gift from hubby of a stainless steel gazing ball is doing great. I've moved the ball and stand up against the house, which will keep it protected from all but the worst of the winds. I'm tempted to put it in the Temple for a bit, which is probably a bit more mischeviousness than I have good karma to take care of.

The buns are being moved indoors and will be in the master bathroom until the cold snap passes. I haven't been able to catch Jet yet, she keeps ducking under the weather tarp which is at approximately the heigh of my neck - you see the issue, eh? Word to the wise: Catching a black short-haired bun in the dark is an absolute pain in the ass.

Josh is prepping the bathroom; it looks like the CDC has set up shop in there. I'm almost afraid to ask how its going, which is why I'm safely esconced at my desk where I am out of range of his frustration. And duct tape. Gotta stay away from the duct tape. Wives with a big mouth and a sarcastic streak gotta stay under the radar when duct tape is on hand.

Picy goodness of disgruntled buns coming in my next post.

I love seeing pictures of your buns. I should probably take pictures of Scotch, especially since Rabbit-topia (the indoor version) is being build this weekend, but he's not as cute as your fluffy ones. He's got the floppy ears though. And big feet.

By the way, do your buns like to dig? I was thinking about providing him a digging box, since he keeps trying to dig at the ground, in addition to his other entertainments.

Yep, my buns love digging, I'd definately recommend one for yours. There are some days I'm so thankful they live outdoors and other days I wish they were indoor buns. Decisions, decisions.

Josh & I finally caught Jet, btw, she's the demon bun in my icon of this post. It takes two some nights. So far they are just hanging out on top of the heater vent - its kinda cute, really.

I'm trying to think of an idea to handle the buns during cold snaps, an idea that doesn't include the master bathroom. Short term, we could probably use some NIC cubes in Josh's den to make a decent cage. Long term, we've been discussing closing in the side porch to add a room to the house - which could include an area for them.

Too much thinking today, though. Brain is full. :)

I think closing in the side porch for a new room is a good idea for the bunnies. A woman I knew in rabbit rescue had a small shed/barn built for all the rabbits she took in. My bunnies live in the dining room and kitchen but I only have two. How many bunnies do you have?

You can send some snow over my way.
