As per hubby's request our Father's Day event was going to a double feature of "Longest Yard" and "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" at the local drive in. I'll tell folks one thing - hubby sure does know how to tailgate... *WEG* I really enjoyed both movies, though you can certainly tell where scenes had been cut, as at least with LY there were huge continuity issues.
Unfortunately, that kept us up until 4 am Sunday morning with a WIPNO meeting at 1pm later that day. I get the feeling its going to take a few days to recover, probably just in time for Alicia to come visit.
So speaking of the Tryst Inn:
Angie's sheduled to be here Monday - Wednesday, still waiting on an ETA so we can essentially hold a witch camp at the house to get ready for Summer Solstice and I'm sure (she's not realy subtle, which I appreciate in friends) ask me another couple thousand questions regarding BTW. Which I adore, really. I'd love to see her come in! I know so few folks who would do great in BTW and whom I'd want in the same coven with us...which is rather sad, frankly. There's such a huge difference between the pagan communities on the East Coast and the West Coast...I tend to fit in better with the East Coast crowd, similar motivations and values. Sometimes I get the feeling a lot of the West Coast crowd is more interested in distracting themselves from their lives via occult than embracing it as a life path.
Thursday and Friday Alicia will be here to work on our page long lists for Initiation, mostly she needs help with her robes, so that's probably going to be the focus. So stitch witchin' at my home :)
Meanwhile, folks were excited about WIPA becoming a COG affiliate and the mothers were very interested in Spiral Scouts...probably something I'll take a back seat on and let Ange and her husband run with.
