The week in preview
Aug. 16th, 2005 11:55 amAhh, the schedule this week is pretty interesting.
Tomorrow I have a mandatory orientation at the college, which is a hoot as I've taken classes there before. I'm told this is going to help me with graduate school, so I'll play nice and go. Its only an hour and I'll meet up with the hubby afterwards for lunch.
Thursday afternoon I'm to head over to the mainland to attend my first Full Moon with the coven. Very excited, but not nervous. I feel very comfortable with the people there and no one seems to mind a giving me direction in circle. More copying to do, must find one of those arthritis finger pads before then. Until then, I've new energy practices to do and quite a bit of reading.
I need to talk to the local folks and see when they are available for Full Moon - I'd like to use our new circle, if possible. Ange still hasn't seen it, but hopefully she'll make some time to come by and see it.
For my Initiation, I was gifted with a lovely book "The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells" by Judika Illes. Now, I'd heard about the book on a few lists, but the title really made my teeth itch. Fortunately, the book is amazing, having a lot of occult theory and history you wouldn't have expected with that title. The spells are arranged by type and compared to spells from other cultures along a similar vein. The element chapter is particularly interesting and I'm really enjoying it. I wanted to have a good portion done so I could discuss it with the lady who gave it to me, but I really should review the "Druid Craft Tarot" I received from another coven sib. I adore the art, but haven't quite gotten to the point where I'm ready to try using it. Partly, this is due to the fact I prefer traditional decks, but really, I haven't taken the time to review I should have.
Possibly too much of my life has been absorbed by creating the circle and spiral walk.
