The 'eyes' have it...
Aug. 17th, 2005 10:46 amHubby went to the eye doctor and found out, apparently, that he can have laser surgery to correct his 'bad' eye and the other one likely won't require corrective lenses, so he'll be glasses free. And since hubby is active duty Navy, its all free.
On one hand, I'm happy for him. I've worn bi-focals since I was sixteen and only recently graduated to single vision. No one ever told me negative prescriptions improve with age. I'm not a candidate for surgery, as my vision is no longer bad enough to warrant it (I finally had the "Corrective lenses required" portion taken off of my license) and I've an astigmatism in each eye that rather prevents surgery at this level of technology.
On the other hand, I think he's really sexy in glasses! Josh looks a bit like Drew Carey's thinner twin and the glasses are quite adorable on him. Yeah, sure, we've knocked eyeglass frames while kissing, but who cares?
