trystinn: (Fun)
The weather has been so unseasonably warm, we decided to try the drive in last night since "Ghost Rider" was playing and we hadn't seen it. Needless to say, we hadn't been missing much! Took the two basset boys, and while Tracker was darling, its just too darn early to take Flash. He refused to settle down so we threw him back in the van so we could enjoy the movie. It wasn't too cold out there, but there was way too much condensation on everything and once you're effectively covered in dew, its hard to stay warm. Especially in fleece.

Josh and Kevin (aka Chicken) are out about town, dropping off the recycling, buying more hay and pellet for the rabbits, drinking mochas like crazy and generally having a ball. Anything to get them out of my way while I cook ham and potatoes for dinner. Kevin and Kathy are expected for about 7pm for dinner so I've another 45 minutes or so before having to put the ham in.

Spoke to Mum, the Berkshires are buried in snow, but they are determined to have their annual St. Patrick's Day Party anyway. Dad and the neighbors were out with the snowblowers clearing the driveways. They are very fortunate to have a long, winding driveway that extends to the back of the property where the garage is - lots of party parking. Mum's making the rather un-traditional Corned Beef, but there's no stopping that. I'm going for a spiral ham, not quite traditional either so I can't complain. Wait until you find out I'm making roasted red potatoes!
