Gratitude journaling
Aug. 21st, 2007 03:10 pmToday I'm grateful for the fine folks of PaperBackSwap (more so, to the friend who recommended it - *waves*), who have made it possible for me to get rid of a bunch of books I didn't care for and acquire almost two dozen I've really wanted to get my hands on.
The site allows for some interesting analysis:
* I've a dozen books en route to me at present
* I've sent out four books that I'm still awaiting credit on
* I've successfully completed 50 transactions
Mailed 30 books
Received 20 books
* I've one credit banked (four in reserve, as above)
Overall: I'm working on rounding out the Charles de Lint and Neil Gaiman books that I somehow hadn't become acquainted with earlier. I'm also feeding my addiction for space novels of the likes of Elizabeth Moon, anthologies and KBLH texts.
Not too shabby for a free service, frankly. Hopefully now that Josh is home he can cull a bit of his herd, as well.
