Kvetch: Painting
Nov. 29th, 2007 11:22 amPainting the Temple indigo blue has been quite a challenge, especially as the room has several odd architectural details making painting via roller and extension very difficult. Add to that the fact that its very paint intensive; we're definitely going to need a 2nd coat, possibly a 3rd.
Other than that, everyone really adores the effect of all that dark color. Which is aided by the slightly bumpy texture of the walls which reflect light in such a way that the walls seem to be covered in glitter. Which originally horrified me, but its growing on me. Pic below shows both architectural ledge and glitter effect.
