Furkid Update

I'm still in awe at the dogs and Libby, brought to mind just now as Flash is out on the deck supervising Laura as she cleans out Thistle's cage. Libby, thankfully, is too afraid of the outdoors to follow him out the dog door so she's yowling for her buddy as she wanders the house looking for a dog to comfort her. Perhaps given her young age, Libby has fully imprinted with the dogs. They are her napping buddies, her playmates and her consolers. She ran smack into one of the house rabbits last night, scaring herself silly. Instead of running to me, as I was closer, she ran to Gracie who gave her a few confidence inspiring licks. Then once she was feeling braver, went over to play with Flash for awhile.

This week Libby seems to have discovered me. She's now sitting up on my chest, looking at my face, purring and licking me. Its been lovely. Libby's fur has grown back much healthier and longer, she's put on some weight and her legs are beginning to grow. When she curls up on my collarbone, its a significant weight now.

Around the house, she's a whirling dervish spiraling to and fro. She's just now attempting to jump up on the tables and counters. Note: not yet. Watching her fling herself at things has been a bit alarming, especially as she fails about 85% of the time. But kittens, I would think, seem to be made almost entirely of rubber bands.
