Howling

The winds are howling down the street, you can hear them in the front of the house. Made more surreal somehow by the lack of breeze coming through the window screens. All sound, little movement.

Quite loud for 25 mph from the SSE, must be something related to the directionality.

Blow, Notus, blow. And right on schedule, too.

Fudgie Update

Of all the creatures in the house, Fudge has been most put out by the introduction of our new kitten Libby. The master bathroom, once a luxurious room of warmth and light, now houses a litterbox and for awhile there, was completely off limits. Now that she's given free range of the house at night, she's taken over his Temple. Poor Fudge.

He's been sneaking in at night and the early morning to eat and sit on my lap for some pettings. This morning's event was halted quickly by Libby's attempts to climb the Watchtower to get to him. He finally jumped down and wandered over to the front door, where Libby crept over and attempted to swat at his tail. Oh my. Needless to say, he has vacated the house once more.

Things are moving slowly. With the coming rains, I expect more of these encounters in the future. Hopefully they will remain peaceful, if irritating.
