One of these days

I'm going to figure out what prompts Flash to go howl for no discernible reason. A few times a day, Flash rushes outside to climb up on his big boulder and howls his little heart out. So I dutifully go outside and look around to see if I can find out what prompted this canine chorus. Zero, zip, nada. He's cashed out in front of the woodstove now, completely worn out, his Libby Mae at his side.

I've been catching up on novel reading. I've worked my way through a John Constantine novel and am now working on another. Once done, I'll likely get back to reading occult books but this has been a nice holiday.

Tech Help Begging

I go to plug in the external backup drive, which I don't keep connected at all times, and my pc doesn't recognize it. Shit. So I plug it into the laptop, which doesn't recognize it either. Both run Windows XP and both have recognized it before.

I looked online and saw that Iomega externals have had trouble with Windows XP (both run it) updates not recognizing them but can't seem to get it to work again.

Any ideas?
