Slowly getting back to speed
Nov. 25th, 2008 03:05 pmManaged to get all my chores done yesterday and even made a simple dinner. Poor Josh was completely befuddled as he'd expected to find me curled up on the sofa coughing instead. Happily befuddled, though.
I've been going through the bookshelves to thin them out, if anyone is interested they can buddy me via PaperBackSwap - TrystInn. The good stuff tends to get grabbed pretty quickly, out of the ten books I put up last night four have been spoken for. I'll be adding another two dozen books by the end of this week, a combination of occult, writing books, popular novels, etc. I'd recommend waiting until then, as what's left on the shelf isn't very good. 'm busy reading occult novels, so recommendations would be highly welcome. I've read the core occult novels Dion Fortune, GBG, Aleister Crowley, etc.
I'm running behind on today's chores, mostly because I'm just taking it easy but I do need to bundle up and go outside to feed the bunnies. I'm getting the worst disapproval looks from Martha, who seems intent on burning holes into the back of my neck through the window.
Tomorrow I need to run into town and buy the ingredients for the few things I'm responsible for baking for Thanksgiving with the Chickens (aka Kevin and Kathy). I adore an invitation that specifies "Please bring the doggies or we won't let you in the door!"
Speaking of furkids, Libby Mae is my constant shadow as I'm a fairly decent sized heat source that doesn't roll over on her. Gracie and Libby are with me on the sofa, Flash is eyeing me from the leather chair wondering whether there will be treats soon. Poor guy. I'm running seriously deficient in treat giving.
