There's not a thing happening downtown today, unfortunately. We've been open now nearly an hour without a single walk in. This is not good news. Granted, it's sprinkling but the temperature is higher than it's been all week so I had a vague hope things might improve business-wise.

Flash is bored out of his mind. I tried to interest him in a game of chase the tennis ball but he wasn't having it. So instead, he's begging for a bit of paninni which hubby made me as part of the "spoil Trista on Sundays because she spoils Josh Monday thru Friday" rule.

Just had a walk in - an older man looking for sheet music. Which we don't carry, so I sent him down the street to the Music shop. His response was something along the "why don't you have any?" category, mingled with a bit of "I have to walk down the street?" whine. Oy.

I'll be settling in to read "Watchmen", as it's been nearly 20 years since I last did so. Speaking of which, if you haven't read Neil Gaiman's "Graveyard Book" do so. It's absolutely delightful. Beware the Sleer!

For anyone keeping track - Libby killed two more mice on Saturday.

Our little mini-rex English Silver, Nyx, passed away sometime in the last 24 hours. She seemed a bit tired yesterday morning when I checked on her, but then she doesn't always come around for pettins unless guests are over. I suspect the cold Spring was just too much for her, as she hadn't any health problems since her sinus infection last Fall.

We'll see how Noir does. I'm a bit concerned with how aggressive she was before bonding her with Nyx. There's a possibility that Sam or Kodiak could be good for Noir, we'll see how interested she is in bonding to another bunny.

Sometimes all they need is another friend. Sometimes it's the last thing they want. We won't know until we try.
