And all of a sudden, its Spring
Feb. 28th, 2007 01:59 pmI've been watching the Earth awaken this last week with amazement and awe. Crocus and Daffie shoots are pushing up, tender little leaf buds are working their way out of branches, and the winter nip in the air is gone even though its still in the forties. Formerly dry and denuded branches are covered in that lightest of new green leaves, that special green tone that one never mistakes for anything other than spring growth.
All these little signs building together to form a new Earth. I'm afraid to blink.
And then it hails. And all bets are off. What a ride!

I should be sleeping, but instead, I'm eating grits.

Hope the weather clears in time for your Highway to Hell tour. :)

Crocuses. Yes. Our *were* coming up, I don't know if they've survived the foot of snow that fell here yet. gotta love the Cailleach's featherbed shaking!
