Lost & Found
Aug. 6th, 2007 02:03 pmGiven the amount of folks moving through our home doing a given week, we've had to set aside a box for items left after each visit. Today I added yet another set of sun glasses, probably left last week during the incense workshop for Lammas. For a part of the world known more for rain and clouds than sunshine, my home holds a strange attraction for sun glasses.
This presents two problems. No one notices they are missing a pair of sunglasses for several weeks in the Pacific Northwest, long past any memory of just where they were when last worn. Possibly the next visit they will find themselves idly going through the box and be reunited. What bothers me most about these errant sun glasses is that I can't possibly wear them. I require prescription lenses just to walk out a door. True story. Due to a glaring lack of depth perception, I'm as likely to run into a door jam as not without wearing my glasses. And since I splurged for the Transition tint so I've little use for sunglasses in any case.
And so, dear friends, when you end up leaving behind something at my home (and you will), would you possibly mind choosing that item more carefully in the future? I'd appreciate it. As will the door jams.
