Now that the boat is back in Everett, Josh is commuting back and forth which I hate. He's a shoddy driver under the best of circumstances and five am is never a good circumstance as far as I'm concerned. Flash, being Flash, has been giving Josh a wide berth and keeping close to me. Currently, he's curled up against Glory which is going to piss her off something fierce when she wakes up. She's not fond of him, as he is the penultimate whippersnapper, but being annoyed at him does force her to think - which is good for a fifteen year old dog. So far we've been lucky, no more grand mals, just milder seizures. Never thought I'd be grateful for mild seizures, but I am.

I've been putting off going to the market, but having ran out of dog food this morning, I can put it off no longer. One simply *must* feed carnivores or one runs the chance of being on the evening news: "Bibliophile eaten by family dogs" or some such. Speaking of which, I should probably buy another bale or two of hay, rabbits don't revolt in the general sense but they could teach disapproval to a Dutch uncle. And they are viewable from almost the entire north side of the house. *gulp*

I did manage to surprise Josh by losing a pant size, which is about twenty pounds as I recall. Yes, I know twenty pounds is a lot for 7 weeks - no lectures! Between the hikes and a general lack of appetite, the weight sort of fell away. My calves and knees aren't thankful, however, so I'm going to have to take it easy on the inclines at Fort Ebey. It would be just like me to aggravate old injuries and be sidelined for a few months. Crossed fingers!

Note to self: find out if knees are supposed to squeak audibly.

Holy crap, 20 pounds in 7 weeks? Wow. Not lecturing, but wow. I've lost that much according to the scale this morning since I went on WW again, but it took me more like 10 weeks. Congrats! :)

Its a guess, as I don't have a home scale, so I'm using tape measures and skinny pants to track progress. *WEG*

Missing Josh for 7 weeks helped do it, I'm sure! Thank you :)

No worries, I gotcha. WW is programmed to lose steady, slow weight so you're right on track. I tried it a few times but couldn't make it work with the Diabetes. Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

No, knees aren't supposed to squeak. Mine have been talking back for years and I just can't get them to understand that fact. Yeah for the weight loss!

So when do you go off to a romantic hotel?

Woo Hoo on the 20 pounds. I would be thrilled if I could lose ten by Samhain. I want to look lithe for the Dark Lord.

*sigh* Apparently, some other time. With the boat coming in early, it screwed up our schedule. Wednesday was his only day off and half that was taken by early morning pier duty and the drive home.
