Pushing Wonderful music
I tend to cycle through movie genres, last one was British this one is Bollywood. I was raised on subtitled movies, so that never bothers me though it can be interesting trying to find the English subtitles on some DVDs. Hell, half the time I end up watching tv and movies with the subtitles on so I can catch the dialogue, anyway, especially with squeaky voiced actresses on the rise.
Its so refreshing to see a different worldview for a change instead of the pablum Hollywood puts out in droves. Insipid humor isn't my thing, but a glorious mixture of foreign scenery and gorgeous costuming is very much up my alley. One of my favorites so far is "Umrao Jaan", so much so that I bought the album and may pick up the movie. If you're feeling adventurous, sneak over to iTunes or Amazon and sample a bit.

They've got very very catchy music on a LOT of the shows.
(and - related but not closely - Banghra music is awesome too)
I like subtitles. They help sometimes even when in a language I speak.

I'm either losing my hearing or have trouble distinguishing speech from background music and noise. Half the time when watching tv or a movie I end up asking "what'd he say?" Especially necessary when English is spoken in accents I'm not altogether familiar with.
