Leaving on a jet plane . . .

Been working with Mum on making reservations to visit Massachusetts in late May, I think we've finally agreed on dates to cover two weekends. She's managed to get me to stay another two days and I think, beginning to realize we need something else to do other than shopping and spa visits. We'll go to the expected places: Great Barrington, Mass MOCA, my alma matter MCLA, Stockbridge, Lenox and Lee, of course.

Now we're looking for day trip ideas: Salem, Boston, Vermont, upstate New York (not sure I can get her to NYC), etc. Anyone up for lunch and a bit of sight-seeing guiding two women? Caveat: Personality wise she's a Diane Keaton clone and I'm a bit more Bette Middler.
