I've no idea, but I did go back and lock up the back door.

As far as the chef goes: His landlord appears to have put a stop to it, though there's still a half dozen pieces of junk back behind the restaurant - chairs, rolling racks, broken ice maker, etc.

Yep, the customers made me call. And then they made polite excuses and left the store.
