I adore Dennis, and am proud to be one of his constituents.
That said, Kea's critique of his tenure as mayor is probably well taken. It's worth realizing he was something like 30 at the time, and his ideology overran practicality. (PS Kea -- Frank Jackson is doing worse, and we're more bankrupt than Dennis ever dreamed of, but nobody dares criticize the Af-Am mayor.)
He's a good guy. I'm glad you noticed his work. :D
