Woke up this morning to the wierdest high-pitched barking. After getting dresssed and exploring the yard, it turns out there was a small squirrel in a tree making that noise and when I left him, he was still barking away.

Josh finally borrowed the high pressure washer from Ange's hubby and cleaned off our back porch roof. Its now about 30 times brighter on the porch - which is wonderful! I can actually read on the porch comfortably, which was difficult before and its a brighter, cheerier place to be. I'm hoping the weekend weather allows us to hang out on the porch, as its probably the least used place in the house.

It's 60 degrees in the house and I'm bundled up from neck to toes! Coffee is the only thing keeping my hands warm this morning, the dogs are napping all over the house and I'm off to find a comfortable chair to curl up and read fo a few hours.

"Tomorrow we each have classes with the HP & HPs, respectively. Josh is trying to get enough coursework in the Outer Grove completed to make Initiation at Samhain. I'm raring to go on my Inner Court coursework. Its always wonderful to have our HP & HPs here, as we're very good friends and enjoy their company immensely. We're fortunate that they're willing to make the drive to the island for class once a month.

Jack is coming for the weekend to relax in the country. Since he lives in the dorms (Bachelor's quarters), and has duty this weekend (cannot be more than 1/2 drive from the base), he's somewhat trapped this weekeend, so coming out to the Tryst Inn to work on the circle seemed a better alternative to hanging about the ugly barracks all weekend. I adore Jack because he's great company, doesn't expect to be entertained and is more than willing to take on any project Josh is working on. He also loves our dogs and they adore him, which is always a nice bonus. Hard to believe this guy is single, though he's already told me with some humor that I'm free to matchmake to my heart's content. (Hint, hint, ladies!) It's lovely being able to provide a retreat for another person - I remember how precious such offers were when I was single and living in various apartments.

I'm hoping the monoliths get placed this weekend - its about the only thing that really needs to be done before we beginning using it. We're still considering altar options, nothing definitive has been decided. I'm still hoping for something natural, so perhaps I'll talk to our neighbor who is storing two dozen stumps in his front yard to see if he'll part with a few. The Spiral circle will be completed today, as will lining the paths to the ritual circle out in the "back 40" before Josh gets home."

Pic goodness to follow later this weekend.
