Pacific Tree Frogs, everywhere

We're finding a rather large amount of frogs on the property lately. While not unheard of (some of you will remember one jumping out at me one day when I headed into the hay barn, scaring me silly), there does seem to be a lot more of them lately.
As one of our neighbors has a little pond, I assume they are coming from there.

Handsome little frogs, too.

Regional importance
In 2007, the pacific chorus "tree" frog was named the state frog of the State of Washington. The tree frog is also a very important in all of the regions where it is found because it is a keystone species. Many other species such as garter snakes depend upon its abundance as a prey item for their survival.

This is a much nicer experience.
