Between long nights spent swapping out thawed water bottles for frozen and working extra shifts at the bookstore, I'm exhausted. So far all the bunnies are doing well, we've been giving them extra pellet and insane amounts of hay. Josh has promised me that as soon as the weather turns, Bunhalla II will be finished. Once we have a roof, electrical running out there, etc. we can look into safe heating options for the water.

Sam and Bugs (the bun we're bunsitting) have found true Bun Love. Oy. This complicates things a tad, as I'm not sure if: a) this woman is even returning, as there's a slight stench of bullshit (more on this) and b) if she'd want another bun. I'm calling a bit of bullshit because she insisted several times that he's neutered. Ladies and Lads, I'm no vet but balls is balls. And this guy has balls. Either that, or he's got the lowest hanging tonsils in the history of bundom. If she lied about this, what else has she lied about - yanno? I'm a cynical bitch for very good reasons. At the moment, two hairy ones.

Had a lovely, if strange, dinner tonight. Josh made one of his odd Polish meals: tortellini and bratwurst. Kid you not. JoJo, one of our lodge guests, came over for dinner and Dexter. He also made a point to ask us for training. Whee! *slump*

Gotta run, the water bottle alarm just went off again.

Yeah, balls are kinda hard to mistake for anything else...

That's one trait of a true rescuer that somehow bugs me the most: the overwhelming cynicism toward one's fellow humans as they prove themselves to be cruel and untrustworthy again and again and again...

I don't know much about rabbit anatomy, but our cat was neutered and still looks like he has balls. He is 13 pounds of muscle, I can't imagine how big he would be if we didn't get him clipped.
