For those keeping tuned, I finally bought an armored motorcycle jacket for myself - the Rocket Diva.

And yes, those stripes make my breasts look huge. I'm told this is a good thing.

I'm told I need to buy a Mil-Spec or similar reflective vest for when I'm riding the motorcycle on base. Chances this will happen are fairly slim, except I'll need it for the endorsement class so, in other words, I need one. Now, I've got no problem wearing a high visibility vest except for one glaring ridiculous issue. I hate orange. Yep, hate it. Not terribly fond of yellow, either. So essentially, I'm looking for an Icon or similar style (not those horrid cheap crossing guard ones) Mil-Spec reflective vest in something like blue or purple.

Any chance someone knows where to get one?

cyclegear is the place.

and you have to get thick pants. my first pair was $99 on sale. tucked skirts, dresses, all kinds of things under em'. saved my ass on more than a few occasions going down to ankle zips etc. make it your next ASAP buy. jeans don't do squat for road rash let alone bugs and cold/hot temps.

have fun! and post what you're riding these days. i'm jealous. one more china cabinet to sell and i'm disposed of all major things to leave continent.

I wear flight deck pants when I ride, very thick. I don't even own jeans, just cargo pants and skirts!

Our bike is a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard, 805. It's a great cruiser, not quite fully dressed but we're working on it. I posted a pic of it, though it's not a detailed one. Will get another one this eve.

Thanks!

Try browsing through this list.

Why you'd want to spend real money on something that you're basically going to want to scrunch up and stuff in a saddlebag is beyond me. I say just go for the cheap one since you won't be wearing it much, and remember that yellow and orange are particularly visible in fog.

There's something about orange that just makes my teeth itch, so that's a no go. I may end up with a green or yellow one. The blue one I saw on another rider was fabulous in fog.

What a great list, thank you. That EMS one is great! Worst case scenario, I'll make one with a rainbow of glow in the dark strips. Should drive the local fundies crazy. :)
