In other news, I'm not going to be able to take the motorcycle endorsement class this weekend. More to come on this.

So which is it: no class, or larger bike?

I took mine out for errands today and had a couple of funny moments, and a bunch of smiles in my direction. It was a gorgeous day and a great ride.

You are so welcome! I think we're on a Mon-Wed-Fri schedule at this point with them.

Not quite sure which it is, yet. Josh wants me to start learning on his bike to get comfortable enough to take the MC class on the base - which won't let non-military spouses use one of their smaller bikes. But we need to check into the schedule and make sure it's doable.

At this point, the financial burden for being a non-military spouse and taking the unsubsidized course is $230 through WA state - they don't even offer subsidized courses until late October. Makes no sense - let's give a bunch of newbies ice and cold rain to learn on. Sometimes being a military spouse feels like the last great federally mandated bigotry. An then, I remind myself, it's really not. Really, truly not.

Glad you're having great rides and good weather for them. It's amazing the camaraderie and smiles, isn't it?

Found myself in the middle of a formation yesterday at a right merge (I had right away), so I held traffic up behind my big van and waved the MCs through. Got a couple dozen waves from the riders for that. I was able to follow them at a respectful distance for about 5 miles until we hit our neighborhood, so I could keep cars off their pipes.
