The dishwasher has been installed and we're running our first load. *cross fingers*

All of the kitchen drawers have been re-organized (we had to sacrifice three drawers and a small cabinet for the dishwasher) and yet another box of kitchen stuff is headed to the thrift shop.

One of the Khaki Campbells started having trouble yesterday afternoon, floundering and acting broody. We separated her to give her some peace and quiet, thankfully she was not egg bound. She laid a shell-less egg overnight. Today, she's up and around, gaining strength and will return to the Home Flock tomorrow.

The Cheekins seems to be getting braver, three of them were down pecking around in their coop today. Only one was still in the hutch. I'll need to clean out the hutch either this afternoon or tomorrow.

Four eggs this morning, not counting the shell-less.

Still need to finish getting things organized for Wednesday, especially lunch and drinks for folks.

I finished reading "The Witch of Cologne", a very good read by Tobsha Lerner. A 'kabbalist midwife and a canon vs the Inquisition in 17th century Germany' sums it up well. The book follows in the pattern of most "Other vs the Inquisition" works, like the movie "Grand Horizontals". Just drop in a different Other and you find you've got essentially the same story.
I was hoping for more Kabbalah, but it was dropped roughly 1/3 of the way in for the "New Science".

All your talk of eggs is making me want some! I don't often eat whole eggs, but I could so go for a lightly poached egg on an English muffin right now. Om nom nom. Last time I had whole eggs, when I was in VT, they overcooked the damn thing. Over easy does NOT mean the yolk should be solid!
