trystinnBrown Betty is back! Josh managed to crawl under the workshops and rescue her, from what was presumably a bad case of winter broodiness:
Brown Betty has opinions, she surely does (look at those dinosaur feets!):
Our shed coop:
The Mighty Marans:
Gracie adores her chickies! Everytime we let her in, she rushes in the coop and lays down among them. Fortunately, they have no fear of her and hang out near her warmth. If they fall off one of the drawers or perches, she picks them up with her nose and pushes them back up there:
A BCM pullet (i.e. a juvenile female):
A BCM cockerel (i.e. a juvenile male)
Flash, on the outside of the coop, whining because Gracie is allowed in and he's not:
Libby, on alert:
One last bit of feathered cuteness:
