The Dog Days of Winter

Last night, my abdomen was hurting quite a bit (as it is now) so I did what I tend to do. Took something for the pain, then cleaned the master bathroom and re-organized the cupboards. Cleaning and re-organizing takes my mind off things. Granted, it doesn't always work but it certainly helps most of the time. Today, I'm all out of bathrooms to clean so I'm taking it easy on the sofa. I really need to get to work dusting and re-organizing the Temple with a few of the gifts the Temple received over the holidays - a beautiful, yet slightly scary Green Man, a carved book holder and a new altar cloth.
The Minion has been given an ongoing assignment to clean coops, duck water bins and rabbit pens, twice a week. This should provide me with enough energy and rest to deal with whatever needs to be done to fix a few health problems. At the same time, it will also keep the critters in better conditions which should translate to healthier and happier. :)
The guys are in the driveway, rigging a nesting box platform in the passenger side of Kevin's pickup. Yes, we are exactly the kind of people that take a perfectly good seat out of a vehicle, then rig up something to make an elderly dog more comfortable while making a 15 minute drive.
In between the above and a trip to the recycling center and dump, they did a favor for the Wind & Tide by replacing the 8 foot hallogen bulbs by bringing them in, installing them and getting rid of the old ones. They even took down the higher Christmas decorations.
Have I mentioned lately how much I adore these guys?
