Thank Gods That's Done!

Heather very kindly came over this evening to pick up the entertainment center. She and her hubby now have an evening of Tetris-like hell in front of them! She also managed to go home with a lovely collection of magical tools and occult odds & ends (as well as an Anthony Bourdain book). Safe journeys, hon. I'm still cracking up at one of her remarks. Given the opportunity for a one nighter (or was it one week of sin?) with a celebrity chef, she picked Bourdain. I picked Gordon Ramsay. :D
The living room has been flipped around so the sofa is facing the front door, nestled between two bookcases. We've been able to vacuum in places that we haven't been able to in years, yuck! The recumbent bike has been stashed in the den, I have a week before Kevin gets back to re-arrange that room, thankfully.
We also were able to move both dressers into the Nook, which is now beginning to look more and more like a dressing room. For now, my old computer desk is in there for use as a hobby desk.
Once we cleaned up the odds and ends that always occur during big furniture moves, we realized it's really starting to look very cozy. Granted, we've a few piles here and there awaiting new homes but all in all I'm really quite pleased at our results in just over 24 hours. :)
Simplifying is marvelous.
