To Do List, didn't

I'm very frustrated by the lack of progress this week on my To Do List.

For example, the painter who was supposed to come over Friday to give me an estimate on the wall painting was a no show. That's his 2nd blow off. Frankly, at this point, I'm pretty much done with him. Looks like I'll have to paint that wall myself. *sigh* I can likely get Noah's brother Joshua to do it, but I'd hoped to keep him working outdoors.

Anyone remember the good ole days when contractors actually showed up?

Yes, I remember when contractors showed up, returned calls, cleaned up after themselves, and conferred with you about any changes in situations.

Will be calling for a fourth time about service on our HVAC systems and getting the fucking gutters fixed. It's hard to keep a pleasant tone in my voice for those voicemail messages.

For an industry that has supposedly been hit so hard by the recession, they sure do seem busy don't they? I'm hoping the contractor shows up this week to get the gates for the porch started. We're trying to make the porch a "No Dog Zone" so we can enjoy the porch, again.
