Poultry Movements and Burning Cuteness

trystinnIntroducing our newest addition to the Tryst Inn! This is Ruth, named in honor of Ruth's glorious hair. Our little Ruth is an Ameraucana/Cochin mix with feathered feet and a very piercing gaze:

I want to brag about the porch. The dog tunnel is installed, as is the ramp. All we have left is to install the cover and paint it all. The cover will be installed tomorrow (Thursday) and the painting will be done Friday.

The 5 Blue Swede drakes have been sold off, I'll be able to buy a gallon of paint with the proceeds. Drakes don't sell for much, even at processing weight. What we have left is our breeding stock for the Winter: 2 Khaki Campbell ducks and 2 KC ducklings & 5 Swedes (4 Blues and 1 Black). All that's left is to sex the two KC ducklings and make plans from there. Its a huge relief to have this done!
