Its a tundering, Mama...
Dec. 28th, 2005 08:53 pmIn the five years since I've lived in Western Washington I sincerely cannot recall a single time its thundered with lightning. Its doing so now, with fat raindrops barreling down on the skylights, making a complete racket.
Most excellent....so sorry the hubby is sleeping through all this!
Edit: But sadly, the storm appears to have caused some kind of crazy damage - I've been hearing emergency sirens ever since it started, and now that its ended, too.
My oh my...

Date: 2005-12-29 07:01 pm (UTC)Its been probably the biggest heartache living here. I adore storms, and can readily recall lying in bed in New York listening to the storms roll across the Sound, the constant flashes of light and the heavy boom of thunder you could feel throughout your body and the house.
Later as a young adult in Arizona, I would stand on the Sonoran desert watching storms race across the sand, slam into the mountains and have what appeared to be a temper tantrum of booms and light trying to get past them!
Yes, I do miss them. More so since initiation.
