It doesn't mean that we can't do something fun some time. It just means that I made a very serious decision to stay the hell out of the Tacoma pagan community, the toxicity of which is very sad.
I've been involved in pagan communities all over the country over the last 20 years or so. This one is very very sick.
The best decision I ever made was to leave it and not look back.
How about coming to one of our North side discussion groups in the Lynnwood-Millcreek area? We're an eclectic bunch, though obviously, quite a few of the coveners attend, too.
If not, let's head back to our idea of meeting up in Seattle at Travelers or something similar when the weather gets a tad better.
I know what you meant about toxic communities, I made my decision to stay the hell out of the ATC for a few years while I persued BTW training. Hasn't been easy, though, and its all but broken my heart to do so.
I'm beyond disgusted with the public pagan community in Tacoma.
It just devours its self from withing over jealousy and petty bullshit which people should have gotten over in first grade.
If you never read this before, this may give you an idea of why I'm not "playing" publicly any more. One can only give so many years of their life and have to fight off crap for it.
I have my circle and I do things quietly with people I trust. I stay away from drama queens, gossips, the persecuted and those that think in order to be pagan one must behave like a freak to prove a point. I surround myself with people who feel that their spirituality enchances their life, not exdcuses them from participating and taking responsibility for it.
