Cranky Old Ladies like Calendar Girls, Tea With Mussolini, Ya Ya Sisterhood, Ladies in Lavender, Enchanted April.

Foreign/Independent films like Amelie, Like Water for Chocolate, Chocolat, A Good Year, Woman on Top, August Rush.

Gay/Lesbian titles like If These Walls Could Talk, L Word, Queer As Folk, To Wong Foo, Tipping the Velvet, etc.

Musicals!

Bollywood Musicals like Umrao Jaan, Guru, Bride & Prejudice, Mistress of Spices.

Period Pieces like English Patient, Secondhand Lions, Perfume, Rome, Remains of the Day, Age of Innocence.

Series I like: Weeds, Dexter, Boston Legal & Torchwood. (I've got Doctor Who in my queue, haven't seen it yet).

Genres I don't like:
Teen anything (including Twilight)
Horror
Dumb, drunk/high guy flicks
Social Documentaries
Reality shows like "Amazing Race", etc.
