The Saga of the Joshes
Dec. 28th, 2006 09:13 pmMy sister has been dating a young man named Josh for a little over a year now and long story short he proposed Christmas Eve! I'm thrilled for her. My mother cannot stop cackling over the concept of having two son-in-laws named Joshua. What are the odds?
Well - here's another doozy for you. Her Joshua had the exact same thing happen to him that happened to my Joshua last night. Shit you not. Her Josh dropped a pint glass and he ended up with 9 stitches for his trouble. Emily and I can't stop laughing over it.
Coincidence?

Date: 2006-12-29 10:34 am (UTC)I am married to a Rasmus and his sister just married a Rasmus, too. But her Rasmus isn't really a Rasmus. His name was Andreas. He said when he was a child, he decided his name was Rasmus and would not answer to Andreas. His parents allowed him to legally change his name when he was a teenager. He could have picked any name--why Rasmus?? He says he doesn't know why he picked it, he just felt like a Rasmus.
Yes, you can tell there will be no Rasmus Junior. I like my husband well enough, but not his name. :)
