Musings on secret treasures & pleasures

I'm not a huge fan of the "Prarie Home Companion" series, though I do enjoy it from time to time. My parents, however, are huge fans and go every chance they get at Tanglewood and SAC (the Saratoga Arts Center). I'm just not a huge fan of their music selection, though Guy Noir is hysterical, I'll admit. Not as funny as Car Talk, but then very little in this life is!
Instead, I am a ravingly monstrously huge fan of "The Vinyl Cafe", which is Canada's version you could say. Stuart McLean is the world's funniest, most sincere man. Yes, he is. Like me Stuart enjoys folk music, so I truly enjoy learning about new artists I might otherwise not hear about. And while Dave and Morley are fictional, they are also very real in every sense of the term. Don't believe me, try leaving a cell phone in their record store.
Sadly, there is no podcasting for the Vinyl Cafe, which breaks my heart, though I make a point to listen to it every Sunday at 4pm while I'm closing the bookstore. If you haven't experienced it for yourself - make a point to. Both www.NPR.org and www.CBC.ca have broadcast times listed, so you can find out when its playing in your neck of the woods.
Now, what secret little pleasure could I get you to share?

That aside, I'm going to go with Buffy: The Vampire Slayer... I love me some Buffy. And some Angel now that I think of it. And Firefly... I think I'm noticing a very Joss trend.
